Project Timeline
October 21, 2005 - The Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) asks for interested parties to submit responses to their Request For Proposal (RFP) for the 5.6 acre site located along West San Carlos and Sunol Streets in San Jose.April 10, 2006 - Green Republic LLC submits response to RFP.
August 3, 2006 - Green Republic LLC is designated by the VTA Board as the selected developer for the site.
April 23, 2007 - VTA’s Board of Directors and Green Republic LLC enter into an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement (ENA) to arrive at the final terms for the sale included in the final Disposition and Development Agreement.
October 23, 2007 - VTA Board extends the ENA period.
February 7, 2008 - VTA Board extends ENA for 90 days. VTA also mandates that Green Republic LLC must complete three community meetings in 60 days and report back to the VTA board.
April 3, 2008 - At VTA Board Meeting, Green Republic LLC must give a 60 day report to the VTA Board on finalizing the DDA.
May 1, 2008 - VTA Board Meeting to determine if the DDA will be approved, denied, or the ENA period extended.
