Welcome

Green Republic LLLP is proud to announce its updated plans for the Ohlone Mixed Use Project, an exciting new 8.25 acre mixed-use, Transit Oriented Development (TOD) project that will be located along West San Carlos and Sunol Streets in San Jose. On November 3, 2008 Green Republic filed its Planned Development (PD) Zoning application with the City of San Jose, formally entering into the City’s entitlement process. Please click here to view the PD Zoning application that we have submitted to the City of San Jose. Based on the feedback received from City Planning Staff, we have updated our development plans to reflect San Jose’s vision for sustainable, transit-oriented development and plan to resubmit our application in late April, a copy of which will be available on this website as well as the City of San Jose website.

Since the VTA land sale agreement approval on May 1, 2008, we have been meeting and talking with the community about their vision for what is now a redevelopment area of the Midtown neighborhood. Prior to the VTA land sale agreement, we held six community meetings and will continue to engage with various stakeholders in the Midtown neighborhood throughout the course of the San Jose’s planning process. In fact, we plan to exceed the required number of community meetings set forth by the City of San Jose.

Additionally, we will be working cooperatively with both City Planning Staff and the community to ensure this project meets the needs of San Jose, the Midtown neighborhood and the principles of TOD. In order to meet the City’s objectives, changes have been made to the development plan. If you are interested in a summary please click here.

We look forward to your input! Please check this website frequently for updated project information and upcoming community meetings. In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, please email us at info@greenrepublicsj.com.
